'BETTER OFF' ZINE SERIES

Better Off Zine is a photo art publication in a printed format that started at the beginning of 2021.  It is based in Sacramento, California and ran by Travis Cannady

Better Off Zine features work from a different photographer in each issue. The goal of these zines are to give an opportunity for photographers in this ever-growing film community to share their work and to make it accessible to as many people as possible.

Better Off Zine No. 1

All photographs by Travis Cannady shot on black and white film.  5.5x8.5 in.  100# matte cover with a soft touch lamination finish.  100# matte text.  60 pages.  39 photographs. Staple bound.  Printed in the USA.  Limited to 50 copies.

Better Off Zine No. 2

All photographs by Frank Obi shot on black and white film.  5.5x8.5 in.  100# matte cover and text.  32 pages.  41 photographs.  Staple bound.  Printed in the USA.  Limited to 50 copies.

Better Off Zine No. 3

All photographs by Chandler Flanagan are not only shot on black and white and color film, this zine also includes some of her Polaroids, Polaroid lifts, and cyanotypes.  5.5x8.5 in.  100# matte cover and text.  40 pages.  26 photographs.  Staple bound.  Printed in the USA.  Limited to 50 copies.

We are excited to bring Better Off Zine into The Newsstand at 3714 J STREET.  It is a match made in zine heaven and it feels like they have always belonged here in the store.  Thank you Travis and Paulo for putting the pieces to the puzzle and making this happen.
